Our Cups
Don Taylor League Cup
The Don Taylor League Cup began in 1968 and is considered to be RASA's most prestigous Cup. The League Cup Tournament is a season-long tournament involving all teams in RASA's Winter League. The tournament begins the week after Thanksgiving and runs until the Final game held on the first weekend in March. The tournament is a bracket-style single knock-out event. Teams are randomly drawn to determine which teams will play each other. The winner of this Cup is awarded a berth in the BC Soccer Provincial Cup tournament.
Who is Don Taylor?
Don Taylor was our longest serving President - for 25 years from 1979 to 2004. He was instrumental in building the foundation of our League which is now basis for how we operate today. Incidentally, Don won the League Cup 10 times during his playing career.
Challenge Cup
The Challenge Cup is the playoff cup that teams in our highest division (First Division) play for. The playoff tournament is a single-game knockout format and is seeded based on regular season standings.
The Challenge Cup was founded in 1968.
President's Cup
The President's Cup was established in 199x and is awarded to the winner of the Second Division playoffs. The playoff tournament is a single-game knockout format and is seeded based on regular season standings.
Masters Cup
Is awarded to the winner of the Masters Division playoff tournament. The playoff tournament is a single-game knockout format and is seeded based on regular season standings.
The Masters Cup was founded in the 2011/2012 season.
RASA offers recreational and competitive soccer programs for adult players.
BCSoccer Member - All Winter teams play for berths to the Provincial tournament.
Winter League season runs September to March.
Open Divisions (any age)
Play Friday evenings and Sundays
Master Division (35+)
Plays Thursday nights.
Spring League runs April to July in an Open Division.
26/27 Winter team registration is now open.
